This plant, whose homeland is Indonesia, was first found in the Moluccas. It grows mostly in Madagascar, India, and Sri Lanka. The name carnation is given in Turkey because its scent resembles the Dianthus sp. flower. Clove, which is bought as an essential oil plant, has no other relation to it. Clove Seed Used to give a pleasant scent to desserts and drinks.
